Ky Hurst Wins Noosa 1000.

Ky Hurst had a battle on his hands defeating some of the great surf and distance swimming competitors for the eighth time.

Hurst used the race to help get fit for the Kellogg’s series this Summer.

Hurst said fellow ironman Matt Poole was ahead of him early in the race before he overtook the rising star of the surf for the victory at the Noosa Multi-Sport festival.

They started hard and I tried to swim as easily as I could for the first part of the race. I made my move after the half way mark and I knew if I could gap them I should be able to hold on from there.”
