January 10, 2012Ky Dominates the KNG Series

Sun Jan 8 saw the Ironmen and Women take on the usually tumultuous Portsea in Victoria. Conditions were not as dicey as some may have hoped or expected but negotiating the surf was still tricky for some. Including a ski pile-up at the shore break of one of the ladies races. In this Triple Sprint format, competitors raced a three short courses with a 10 minute break between each, starting from when the winner crossed the line for each race. Rival’s Ky Hurst dominated the mens races with a fair bit of finesse taking a first second and third place to give him the round two win. Ky sits in second place overall behind the Black Jersey of series leader Kendrick Louis.
